Quick History
- Fannys nightclub exists on the historic and state-significant Argyle House site.
- Argyle House was built in the 1860's and was used as the head office of the powerful Australian Agricultural Company until 1965, at which time it was sold.
- With minor restorative and construction work, the building was then developed into a theatre restaurant called "Fanny's Bar & Grill". It was named "Fanny's" after the American woman who owned the venue at this time.
- The venue has most recently been renovated in the final months of 2007. The result is a contemporary, attractive space
Dress Code
Strict dress regulations are enforced and entry is at the discretion of management. We know you've got style. Let us see it! Leave the following at home; joggers, work boots, torn or untidy shoes, baggy clothing, colourful jeans, tracksuit pants, shorts, caps, bandanas, football jumpers, sportswear, large logos, thongs, sandals and other inappropriate footwear that leave your feet overexposed. Thongs and singlets are banned as are tracksuits and clothing with large logos. All clothing must be clean and this applies to both males and females.
So take a shower, brush your hair and don your best threads. It's elementary, really.
