Miss Surfest
We're searching for Newcastle's most outstanding female models to go in the running to be our very own Miss Surfest! Fannys will hold 7 weeks of preliminary competitions. At least three finalists will be chosen weekly to compete in the Finals. They will possess individual style and poise; have unique personalities, demonstrate original costuming and be able to communicate effectively!
The ultimate winner will be crowned Newcastle's very own Miss Surfest 2010 and will win over $25,000 in CASH and PRIZES.
The competition will run on Friday evenings. There will be 10 weeks of competition, with the first heat beginning on the 8th of January, 2010. The heat dates are as follows:
- Heat 1 - 8th January
- Heat 2 - 15th January
- Heat 3 - 22nd January
- Heat 4 - 29th January
- Heat 5 - 5th February
- Heat 6 - 12th February
- Heat 7 - 19th February
- Semi Final 1 - 26th February
- Semi Final 2 - 2nd March
- Grand Final - 12th March
MODEL SEARCH FORMAT
If you are over 18 years of age, married or single, an amateur or professional model, or are looking to break into the glamorous world of modeling this is the chance of a lifetime!
The competition will consist of two segments: Beach Wear and Swimwear. You will be allowed 60 seconds in each section to present yourself to the judges and audience. You will be judged on your choice of outfit, catwalk ability, figure, confidence, and personality, beauty of face, fitness and overall modeling ability. Prior modeling experience is not necessary. The winner of the Grand Final will then go on to represent Newcastle and Fannys at Surfest 2010.
